About Us

The Kindness Collective works at the intersection of human and animal welfare, striving to improve the lives of all beings through initiatives encouraging plant-based diets and other acts of compassion.

While you are likely familiar with the expression "killing two birds with one stone," there is a gentler expression meaning the same thing -- "freeing two birds from one cage."  This idea is imagined in the logo of The Kindness Collective, embraced in its ideology, and expressed through acts seeking the most good for both humans and animals.

The Kindness Collective is fundraising for its first major initiative, which will work with domestic violence shelters to accommodate survivors' pets.  Up to 40% of domestic violence victims report that they are unable to escape their abusers because they are afraid of what will happen to their pets when they leave, and pets left behind are often abused or even killed.  The Kindness Collective hopes to bring an end to the abuse of all by permitting victims of domestic violence to seek safety with their pets in tow.
